Re-enfeoffment of the kotten known as ‘die Mersche’ after the death of Johann Springorum, Primissarius in Bochum

On 27 June 1682, Ferdinand, abbot of the imperial abbeys of Werden and Helmstedt,granted a new enfeoffment with the kotten known as “die Mersche” in the parish of Lütgendortmund following the death of Johann Springorum, Primissarius in Bochum. At the request and for the benefit of the convent of Lütgendortmund, the holding was bestowed upon the priest and rector provisus in Bochum, Melchior Schmitz. The charter was issued under the abbot’s seal and signed by him personally.
