Celse Springorum
Celce Springorum is de vroegst bekende persoon met de naam Springorum in de bewaard gebleven documenten. De eerste vermelding van haar dateert van 21 december 1423.
In een oorkonde uit dat jaar verkochten twee broers, Johan en Diderich van Lutsikendorp, een erfelijk goed “bij de brug te Bochum” (de huidige locatie van het Bisschopshuis) aan Celce Springorum. De akte omvat alle bijbehorende landerijen, bossen en rechten, en bevestigt dat de koop volledig was voldaan, zonder resterende aanspraken van de verkopers of hun erfgenamen. Getuigen en zegels bekrachtigen de transactie.

In 1423, before the court of Bochum, the brothers Johan and Diderich van Lutsikendorp sold a hereditary property near the bridge, together with all associated lands, rights, and appurtenances, to Celse Springorum and her lawful heirs. The sellers declared the purchase price fully paid and formally renounced all present and future claims, extending this renunciation to their own heirs. The transaction was publicly confirmed before the judge and witnesses, sealed as a valid and binding court charter, and ratified on 21 December 1423. This document is among the earliest known records to mention the name Springorum.
